Terms of Use

Seattle On A Budget (the "Site") is published by Orient Blue LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Site, subscribing to our newsletter, commenting, or submitting content, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

The Site is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. You must be at least 13 to comment or subscribe, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to submit work as a contributor.

All articles, photos, graphics, logos, and the "Seattle On A Budget" name are owned by Orient Blue LLC or our contributors and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may:

• Read, print, and share links to our pages for personal, non-commercial use
• Quote a short excerpt (up to 50 words) with credit and a link back to the original post

You may not, without our written permission:

• Copy or republish full articles or any photos
• Use our content to train AI models or scrape the Site with bots
• Remove credits, watermarks, or copyright notices
• Use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you

When you post a comment, review, or tip, you keep ownership of it. You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to display, edit for length or clarity, and share it on the Site, in our newsletter, and on our social media. You are responsible for what you post. We may remove any comment at any time, for any reason, including spam, off-topic posts, or anything that breaks Section 6.

Writers and photographers who submit work to Seattle On A Budget are also bound by their signed contributor agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the contributor agreement controls. By submitting, you confirm that:

• The work is your own original work, or you have the rights to submit it
• You have permission from any identifiable person in your photos where needed
• You have disclosed any free meals, tickets, payments, or relationships with businesses you write about
• Your submission does not copy anyone else's work or break any law

When using the Site, you agree not to:

• Post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or defamatory
• Post fake reviews, or reviews of a business you own, work for, or are paid by
• Post spam, ads, or affiliate links in comments
• Share someone else's private information
• Impersonate any person or business
• Upload viruses or try to hack, overload, or disrupt the Site

The Site links to restaurants, attractions, shops, booking sites, and other businesses we don't control. We are not responsible for their websites, products, services, prices, or policies. Any purchase or booking you make is between you and that business.

Some links are affiliate links, and the Site shows ads from third-party networks. See our Affiliate Disclosure and Privacy Policy for details. An ad or affiliate link is not an endorsement unless we say so.

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent with:

• Your name, address, phone, email, and physical or electronic signature
• A description of the copyrighted work
• The URL of the content on our Site
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner

We will remove infringing content promptly and may block repeat infringers.

We work hard to keep information accurate, but prices, hours, deals, menus, events, and transit details change often. Everything on the Site is for general information only. Please confirm details directly with the business or venue before you go.

You are responsible for your own safety and decisions when following our suggestions, including hikes, outdoor activities, neighborhoods, food, and travel. Nothing on the Site is professional, legal, financial, or medical advice.

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not promise the Site will always be available or error-free.

You agree to defend and hold harmless Orient Blue LLC from any claims, losses, or costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from content you post or submit, or from your breach of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you agree to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.

We may suspend or block access to the Site, comments, or contributor accounts if you break these Terms. Sections 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, and 12 continue to apply after that.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. These Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Affiliate Disclosure are the full agreement between you and us about the Site.
