Seattle's International District has very few hotels of its own, so the best places to stay are a hostel and a historic inn inside the district, plus well-rated hotels a short walk away in Pioneer Square and downtown. This guide covers top-rated and budget hotels, a hostel, kitchen stays and other types, with light rail, bus and what is nearby.

That is the honest answer for anyone searching for where to stay in the International District, Seattle. The district is small and mostly shops, restaurants and history, and it has a hostel and a historic inn rather than a row of hotels. The upside is the location: the Chinatown-International District Link station is here, dim sum is a short walk away and Pioneer Square, Lumen Field and the waterfront are all close. If you want to plan your days first, read our guide to one day in the International District.
This post is the lodging twin of that itinerary. It lists up to three of the highest-rated places and three budget picks for each type of stay, and it names the booking site behind every rating. Sites use different scales and change often, so all ratings and prices in this post are as of October 21, 2026. Prices are "from" rates for sample dates, not quotes. Check the live price and your dates before you book.
By the Numbers: 1 hostel, 1 historic inn, about a 10-minute walk or less to Pioneer Square hotels, and 1 Link station at the heart of the district.

Grocery chains. The closest large grocer we confirmed is Uwajimaya, open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. A pay lot there validates two free hours with a $20 purchase. Viet Wah is a smaller, cheaper grocery nearby. We did not find a Walmart or Safeway we could confirm near the district, so we do not list one.
Nightlife. The district itself is mostly restaurants. For bars and games, Flatstick Pub in Pioneer Square is the one we confirmed, and our one-day guide lists the evening stops.
Parks. Hing Hay Park is a brick plaza with ping pong tables, and Kobe Terrace Park and the Danny Woo Community Garden are a short uphill walk away. Waterfront Park is about 0.9 miles from the hostel, per Kayak.
